The Art Department at Community College of Philadelphia proudly presents April is Art. Held annually, April is Art is a showcase of student art. This year’s exhibit will be virtual, running from April 1 through May 31, 2021. The 2021 exhibition features student work from Spring 2020, Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. Congratulations to all students included in the show.
Our opening reception on April 1 celebrated our students and their amazing talents. Watch a recording of the session to listen to the artists as they bring us into their work.
Welcome back to the Spring 2021 semester. Although the semester will look different than it has in the past, we remain excited to see our students continue on the path to student success. Because things are different this year, we wanted to take a moment to remind you all of student expectations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As you begin class next week, please review the Campus COVID-19 Safety Expectations for Students.
With contraction rates still high in the Philadelphia area, it is vital that we continue to practice safety measures to the best of our ability. Keeping our entire campus community as safe as possible must remain in the forefront of our minds.
For those taking in-person courses or needing to come to campus for any other reason, please remember to:
As we end 2020, and the College’s first and hopefully last fully online Fall semester, we celebrate the progress our community has made, and wish the very best for our students, staff and faculty for the remainder of winter break and the Winter 2020 semester. We hope that your holidays were restful, warm and bright.
With case counts so far above what was seen in summer and early fall, this winter we must all find the balance between exercising restraint, preventing burnout, and finding ways to fulfill our social needs.
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the College has decided to extend the deadlines for withdrawal from courses for the fall 2020 semester. Please note the following:
- The last day for students (15A, 10A and 7B) to withdraw has been extended to Dec. 10, 2020
- The last day for faculty to withdraw students has been extended to Dec. 11, 2020
Students who have questions about withdrawing can contact Counseling (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Academic Advising (email@example.com). In addition, students can also contact their instructors with any questions about their progress in courses.
