It’s the first step in preparing for your 1:1 appointment with a Career Connections team member.

Resume Basics – We’ll walk you through how to use the resume templates in the resource section of Handshake, no matter your experience level. We'll guide you step-by-step even if you’ve never written a resume.

Tailoring Your Resume – Learn how to tailor your resume for specific job descriptions to make it stand out. You’ll also learn how to highlight the skills employers are actually looking for in 2024.

No Experience? No Problem! – Employers aren’t just looking for job titles—they want to see skills! You’ve got plenty, whether it's from group projects, part-time jobs, volunteering, or even managing your responsibilities. We’ll help you uncover and highlight those hidden skills, like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

Next Steps – By the end of the session, you’ll be ready to schedule your 1:1 resume review with a Career Connections team member to perfect your resume and boost your career prospects.
