Student Evaluation of Teaching - Spring 2024

The Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) is one of the many data points that the College utilizes as a tool and contributing factor to the assessment of student learning, in alignment with our commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing the overall student experience. Direct student feedback is a tool that faculty and administrators can use to inform changes to their practice while enhancing our quality of instruction and positively impacting student success and completion. To this end, the Division of Academic and Student Success thanks you in advance for your cooperation in helping more students complete the SET surveys to improve and enhance the quality and quantity of feedback that we receive from the students we serve.

For the Spring 2024 semester, the Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) survey will be conducted from 8:00 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2024 through 11:59 P.M. Monday, April 22, 2024.  All surveys will be conducted online.

Please note the following:

  • Web-based Evaluations: Students will receive an emailed link to the evaluation on the opening day. They will also see a notification on their Canvas account with a link to their surveys. This link is utilizing Single Sign-On, so there is no need for a username or password. Instructors will also receive an email on the opening day letting them know the SET period has started.
  • Students will receive reminders to complete the SET survey throughout the evaluation period; please remind your students often to complete the survey to ensure a good response rate.
  • The functionality of the web-based survey site will be turned on from 8:00 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2024 through 11:59 P.M. Monday, April 22, 2024. An evaluation can only be completed once.
  • Student evaluations of teaching must be completed before the start of final exams.

We appreciate your support in reminding your students to complete the surveys during this time.

If you have any questions concerning implementation procedures, please contact your Division Dean.

Thank you for your participation.
