Join us for a Volunteer Day at Books Through Bars on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 1:30pm-3:30pm! Books Through Bars has been sending free books to incarcerated people in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia since 1987. On this day, volunteers will read letters from incarcerated individuals and prepare packages of the books they’ve requested to be sent to their facilities. Books through bars is located on 4722 Baltimore Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19143. RSVP now to reserve your spot!
