Second year students who are eligible for federal work study qualify to be paid for volunteering with the Next Steps AmeriCorps program for the 2024-2025 academic year (August 2024-August 2025)! After completing a total of 300 hours split between approved volunteer service, mentoring a first-year student, and professional development, Next Steps Members also become eligible for a monetary Education Award. This award can be used to cover education related costs such as federal loans, tuition costs, grad school payments, etc.
