Join the All Black Students Alliance for Black History Month! 
Members and anyone interested in becoming a new member. Members remember to wear your All Black Students Alliance hoodie.   
2/13, 11-12 pm - Saxbys Coffee is Good for the Soul and Mind!  Meet up at Saxby's and join the cool crowd ( CCP Faculty, Staff, Students and perhaps a special guest) to have a lively discussion about the current state of Black Folks and/or your favorite book by a Black author over Free Coffee!  Remember you can go to the CCP Library and check out a book from the Black History Month book display.  Look out for the discussion corner to swipe in, join the discussion and get free coffee voucher. 
2/14, 12-1:30 - Free College-wide Black History Luncheon, Winnet Building, Great Hall, S2-19. RSVP HERE.

Look for the table display. Celebrate Akoma Day! Nya Akoma (pronounced N yah Ah coma) is the greeting for Akoma Day also known as Black Love Day, which means get a heart, be patient, and return to love. Akoma Day is an intentional cultural and spiritual alternative to Valentine's Day. The focus of Akoma Day is the intimate relationship and how that relationship creates family, neighborhood, community and nationhood.

2/20, 4:10-6:20, Hip Hop. Still standing! Commemorating Hip Hop. 50+ years. Come celebrate with the pioneers from Philadelphia, Spring Garden Records Studio, M2-08
2/21, 12- 2 pm - Lion Leader Student Programming Board Tribute to Malcolm X.   The X Factor. A discussion about the life and legacy of Malcolm X. Brother Eric K. Grimes, Speaker and other guest. Winnet Building Lobby. Coffee, Food and Snacks served.
2/22, 11-2 pm - Grady's Community Garden Food Sovereignty Winter Crop Harvest, Volunteer Day. Spring crop planting and fresh produce and the produce and fruit giveaway stats at 1:30 until supplies last. Located at Grady's Community Garden. Planting traditional crops grown in the African Diaspora.  Come and let's grow together! 
2/27, 11- 2 pm - Lion Leader Student Programming Board, Afro Beat Day Party, Featuring  Yazirdadeejay. Winnet Courtyard. Rain location Winnet Lobby. Come get your dance on! Chill! Relax! Food and Drinks served.    
2/28, 11-1 pm - Lion Leader Student Programming Board hosts the Black Faculty and Staff Alliance Dining with the African Diaspora, Winnet Lobby. Come sample the rich and tasty food from the different parts of the African diaspora. The African Diaspora speaks of the worldwide collection of communities and people descending from Africa still living in Africa, the U.S., the Caribbean and any land where African slaves were. 
2/29, 11-2 pm, The Black Women's Wellness and Hair Fair, Bonnell Lobby The Black Women's Wellness and Hair Fair ( BWW&H Fair) is a celebration of the C.R.O.W.N Act (Creating a Respectful Open World for Natural Hair). Hair is a centerpiece of Black culture; it’s a symbol of identity, resistance, creative expression and freedom.  The fair will consist of community wellness ( Spirit, Mind and Body) partners along with Black haircare professionals as hair is understood as an essential component of a Black woman's wellness. Guest Speaker - Philadelphia Councilmember Kendra Brooks.
