Women in Architecture
Wednesday, Oct. 2 | 2 to 4 p.m. | Winnet Student Life Building, Room W2-01
Come and engage in a panel with Ximena Valle, founder of FIFTEEN Architecture, and Erike de Veyra, founder of Design Gym, who will share their experiences and insights as femail, minority leaders in the field of architecture working to empower and inspire the upcoming generation of design professionals. Cultural Bridges is an initiative to celebrate culture and diversity within architecture and design. By opening the space for the design community to come together, this project seeks to promote a network that bridges the gap between academia and professional practice, ensuring that every voice is respected and heard. To wrap up the event, there will be a hands-on cultural reflection workshop with craft materials. This fun, creative activity, is meant to generate awareness and spark interest in culture and diversity's importance in design.
