Evening/Non-Traditional Transfer Fair
March 22, 2023 Virtual Session: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm Register to receive the Zoom link for this virtual event
Visit with Representatives of 4-year institutions to learn about your transfer and scholarship opportunities. While the focus of this fair will be on non-traditional, evening, part-time, and/or online programs, students in all majors/interests are welcome to attend.
Before the event, think about what questions you have about 4-year schools so you can be prepared to ask questions that will help you decide where you may want to attend. Some questions you may want to consider could be about their academic programs, admissions policies and requirements, campus life, benefits of transferring with your associate degree, or scholarship opportunities
Summer Registration
Summer registration begins the week of March 13th. For the best selection of courses, register as soon as you are eligible to. If you are unsure if you should take summer courses or don’t know what summer courses you should take, review your My Degree Path and meet with an academic advisor. Summer courses are offered in 7-week or 14-week terms at the Main Campus, Regional Centers, and Online.
7-week Early Summer session (7 week classes group A) runs from 5/15/2023 – 7/3/2023

14-week session (14 Week classes Group A) run from 5/15/2023 – 8/24/2023
Make sure to talk with financial aid about how much aid you have available for the summer, so you know how many courses you can take.
Summer registration dates are determined based on completed credits. Completed credits are the number of earned (and transfer) credits a student has, so courses you are currently registered for do not count toward your completed credit total.

Service Spotlight: Starfish
Starfish is a communication system that connects students to their professors, advisors, and campus resources. For more information or questions on how to use Starfish, visit their website or email .
Starfish and your classes: You can use Starfish as a tool to keep track of your progress in classes when professors either raise a flag if there is a concern about your progress or send you a kudos to celebrate your successes. If you receive a flag, that should be viewed as an invitation to reach out to your professor to talk about what’s going on in the class and how you can improve to successfully complete the course. Some instructors allow you to schedule office hours through Starfish
Starfish and Advising: Advising appointments are scheduled through Starfish. After your advising appointment, advisors will enter a note that you can later refer to summarizing your conversation, referrals, and recommendations. Advisors can also create Degree Plans with you which can be accessed in Starfish
Starfish and Campus Resources: Many of CCP’s campus resources are accessible through Starfish. Check out the “Services” section of Starfish to connect with Career Connections, Center for Male Engagement, Counseling, Financial Aid, International Student Services, Learning Labs, Library, MarcDavid LGBTQ+ Center, Office of Collegiate Recovery, Single Stop, Veterans Resource Center, Women’s Outreach and Advocacy Center, and more!
