Tips for Successful Registration
Academic advisors can provide course suggestions and help create a realistic schedule for the upcoming semester. They will collaborate with you to develop an academic plan that ensures timely graduation. Before you meet with your advisor, be sure to prepare by reviewing the College Catalog and your My Degree Path.
Think about the time of day you learn best.
Do you need morning classes? Evening classes? Do you learn better with a gap of time in between your classes? CCP offers courses as early as 8 a.m. and as late as 7:40 p.m. to meet the needs of all students.
Know which course format fits you best.
Did you know CCP offers courses in a variety of formats? Students may choose from in-person courses at any of our four CCP locations—Main Campus, Northeast Regional Center, West Regional Center and our newest center, the Career and Advanced Technology Center. Various online classes are also available online—asynchronous (no class meeting times), synchronous (class meetings via Zoom) and hybrid (a mix of online and in-person learning).
Check your account for holds.
Some holds may prevent you from enrolling in courses. To check if your account has a hold, log into MyCCP > Student tab > Enrollment Services > Student Profile > Holds (far right-hand side of the screen). For assistance with lifting or removing a hold, you must contact the office that placed the hold.
Register!
Log into MyCCP > Student tab > Enrollment Services > Search Courses/Register Online. Watch a full video tutorial on how to register. To view course descriptions, click here.
