Emerging Design Professionals

Wednesday, Oct. 9 | 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. | Winnet Student Life Building, Room W2-01

Join us for a seminar featuring young and fresh perspectives with emerging design professionals and the 2024 cohort of the JADE Fellowship: Yoselyn Martinez, Beamlak Sahle, Katie Kogi and Simone Sawyer. The JADE Fellows will share their thoughts and experiences as they approach graduation after a summer of world exploration. Students will be invited to ask questions, from why choosing architecture to stepping into a firm for the first time. Cultural Bridges is an initiative to celebrate culture and diversity within architecture and design. By opening the space for the design community to come together, this project seeks to promote a network that bridges the gap between academia and professional practice, ensuring that every voice is respected and heard. To close the event, join us for a fun, creative activity, meant to generate awareness and spark interest in culture and diversity's importance in design.
