Hispanic Diversity in Design
Monday, Oct. 7 | 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. | Winnet Student Life Building, Room W2-01
Join us for a seminar with culture activists and architects Antonio Silva and Karen Blanchard, founders of SITIO Architecture + Urbanism, and Annais Delgado, Taller Puertorriqueño representative. The discussion will center on their experiences and insights as minority professionals. Students are invited to engage with the panelists on a closer level and get an inspiring real-world perspective. Cultural Bridges is an initiative to celebrate culture and diversity within architecture and design. By opening the space for the design community to come together, this project seeks to promote a network that bridges the gap between academia and professional practice, ensuring that every voice is respected and heard. We'll wrap up this seminar with a hands-on workshop where attendees are invited to collaborate in a fun, creative activity designed to spark interest in culture and diversity's importance in design from education through career.
