Nostalgia: A Journey Into Philadelphia's House Ballroom Scene

You may have heard of ballroom culture from TV shows like "Pose" or "Legendary," but did you know Philadelphia currently has a thriving ballroom scene of its own? Join Jacen Bowman, a celebrity makeup artist and Philadelphia's legendary ballroom icon, to learn about the history of ballroom. You'll even get a taste of what it's like to attend an actual ball!  

Jacen is a beauty contributor for FOX 29's "Good Day Philadelphia" morning show, and has been featured in publications that include Teen Vogue, Uptown Magazine and Vibe. He was the lead makeup artist for the Oscar-nominated film "I am Not Your Negro," and has worked for several cosmetic brands, including MAC Cosmetics, Laura Geller, Smashbox and Kevyn Aucoin. Currently he is the beauty editor for several online magazines, and works behind-the-scenes on reality series like "Love and Hip-Hop," "Real Housewives" and several runway shows. You may also recognize him from season two of "Legendary" on Max!
