Biology Club Presents CCP Alum Dr. Schlachterman

Dr. Schlachterman is the Director of Third Space Endoscopy, Therapeutic Endoscopist and Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. A Philadelphia native, Dr. Schlachterman graduated from Community College of Philadelphia, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree from the University of the Sciences, and a medical degree from Universidad Central Del Caribe, Puerto Rico. He trained in gastroenterology for both general and advanced fellowships at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. Dr. Schlachterman furthered his advanced training in third space endoscopy at the University of Colorado, POEM fellowship as well as training at the National Cancer Center in Tokyo, Japan focusing on endoscopic submucosal dissection. Dr. Schlachterman is a specialist for therapeutic gastroenterology with a focus on pancreatic biliary disease and organ sparing third space endoscopy procedures.
