Save the Date for the Addiction and Recovery Conference

Friday, September 29 | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Winnet Student Life Building, the Great Hall

We’re raising awareness about addiction and recovery at the College as we reopen our Office of Collegiate Recovery, in partnership with the Behavioral Health/Human Services (BHHS) program.

The conference will feature guest speakers, workshops, and resources that can help us best support students and those in our community:

  • A panel discussion with Dr. Chip Altman, Community Behavioral Health, Nerissa Mixon, Department of Behavioral Health Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS); and Nicole Sage, Prevention Point
  • A three-minute Narcan demonstration by Peter Spayde from DBHIDS
  • Interactive art activities led by Lisa Kelley, a trauma-informed artist
  • Multiple Pathways to Recovery workshop by CCP alum John Elburn from Unit Recovery
  • Effective and Available Treatment without Stigma workshop by Kevin Moore from Courage Medicine
  • BHHS faculty speakers
  • Resource tables from Danny’s House and Community Behavioral Health Member Services with MyTeria Guy, BHHS alum
