Presenters: Dr. Katheleen Murphey, associate professor of English; and Tamara Russell, aka POC, host of Revive Radio, Proof of Consciousness POC

Kathleen Murphey, Ph.D., a writer, visual artist and associate professor of English, will share her artwork and poetry. She has experimented with subversive knitting, composite photography and paper mâché masks, as well as poetry and fiction. She will present an overview of her work with a focus on her work addressing gun violence and our broken criminal justice system.
 
Tamara Russell, aka POC, produced the powerful documentary, "Numb to Normalcy," which highlights gun violence in the City of Philadelphia. This movie was made in partnership with Community College of Philadelphia, and the participants in the documentary are CCP students.
