Sexual Assault and Rape Prevention (SARP) training

This is a reminder that the last of the six sessions of the Sexual Assault and Rape Prevention (SARP) training titled, Sexual Violence 101 - College Edition will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in Room C2.18. As you know, our goal is to train 300 members of the College family to include students, faculty and staff. The goal of the training is to promote awareness of and prevent the prevalence of campus-related sexual assault. Through interactive sessions, the training enables participants to identify and reduce risk factors for sexual assault. In addition, it provides an overview of Title IX and identifies strategies for prevention and active bystander intervention to support a safe campus environment and promote consensual relationships.

LaQuisha Anthony and LeVonne Cannady, Education Specialists for WOAR (Women Organized Against Rape) facilitate the training. Topics covered include categories of stalking, sexual violence, a person's right to refuse engaging in intimate acts, managing male/female relationships, and serving non-binary students.
