General Information:

This transfer guide is developed in support of the program-to-program agreement between University of Cincinnati-Online and Community College of Philadelphia. It shows how the requirements for the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Care Technology at Community College of Philadelphia transfer to University of Cincinnati’sonline Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Respiratory Therapy and the coursework required at University of Cincinnati-Onlineafter transfer. 

Admissions into the University of Cincinnati-Online B.S. Respiratory Therapy program requires completion of the A.A.S. in Respiratory Care Technology with at least a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and hold credentials as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and be RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapy) eligible. To receive transfer credit, courses must be completed with a grade of C (C=2.0) or better.

University of Cincinnati-Online will accept all 70 credits from the A.A.S. in Respiratory Care Technology at Community College of Philadelphia through “Block Transfer” allowing the student to achieve the equivalent of third-year junior standing at University of Cincinnati-Online; students are expected to complete 50 credits at University of Cincinnati-Online after transfer. The University of Cincinnati-Online B.S. Respiratory Therapy program has three start dates (Fall, Spring, Summer terms).
