Transfer guides are created and maintained to help students and staff make appropriate course and program choices. The guides show how the requirements for the appropriate Community College of Philadelphia associate degree transfer to the bachelor's institution. It is, however, possible for program requirements at Community College of Philadelphia or the transfer institution to change without advanced notice.
Students are advised to visit with a Community College of Philadelphia academic advisor or counselor for further assistance. To schedule an appointment with an academic advisor, login to MyCCP for the Starfish Connect appointment system, call 215-751-8777 or stop by BG-12 on Main Campus. To schedule an appointment with a counselor, call 215-751-8169, email counseling@ccp.edu or stop by BG-7 on Main Campus. Academic advisors and counselors are also available at the Regional Centers.
General Information:
This transfer guide is developed in support of the dual admissions agreement between Community College of Philadelphia and La Salle University. It shows how the Associate in Science (A.S.) in Computer Science at Community College of Philadelphia transfers to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science at La Salle University and then shows remaining requirements at La Salle University. Completion of the A.S. as described in this guide leads to junior standing in the B.S. at La Salle University.
La Salle offers both a B.S. and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). A student who prefers the BA can choose to pursue it at La Salle. Preference for the B.S. or B.A. doesn’t change coursework at CCP.
Students who earn the A.S. in Computer Science and who submit a dual admissions intent form for La Salle University qualify for the Core-to-Core agreement. La Salle University agrees to accept the General Education embedded in Community College of Philadelphia’s A.S. in Computer Science degree as meeting all the requirements of La Salle University’s undergraduate Core requirements except for REL 100: Religion Matters, which must be taken at La Salle University upon transfer.
