Transfer guides are created and maintained to help students and staff make appropriate course and program choices. The guides show how the requirements for the appropriate Community College of Philadelphia associate degree transfer to the bachelor's institution. It is, however, possible for program requirements at Community College of Philadelphia or the transfer institution to change without advanced notice.
Students are advised to visit with a Community College of Philadelphia academic advisor or counselor for further assistance. To schedule an appointment with an academic advisor, login to MyCCP for the Starfish Connect appointment system, call 215-751-8777 or stop by BG-12 on Main Campus. To schedule an appointment with a counselor, call 215-751-8169, email counseling@ccp.edu or stop by BG-7 on Main Campus. Academic advisors and counselors are also available at the Regional Centers.
General Information:
This transfer guide is developed in support of the dual admissions agreement between Drexel University and Community College of Philadelphia. It shows how the requirements for the A.S. in Chemistry at Community College of Philadelphia transfers to the Drexel University B.S. in Chemistry and the coursework required at Drexel University after transfer. To receive transfer credit, the courses must be substantially equivalent to courses offered in the curriculum at Drexel and courses must be completed with a grade of C (C=2.0) or better. A 2.8 cumulative Community College of PhiladelphiaGPA and a 3.0 cumulative in science coursework must be earned to gain admission to this program. Drexel University operates on a quarter term and credit system. The semester credit to quarter credit conversion is not exact; degree completion at Community College of Philadelphia will allow the student to achieve the equivalent of third-year standing at Drexel University.
