General Information:

This transfer guide is developed in support of the program-to-program agreement between the Moore College of Art and Design and Community College of Philadelphia. It shows how the requirements for the Associate in Art (A.A.) in Art and Design at Community College of Philadelphia transfer to the Moore College of Art and Design’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Fine Arts and the coursework required at the Moore College of Art and Design after transfer.

To receive transfer credit, the courses must be substantially equivalent to courses offered in the curriculum at the Moore College of Art and Design and courses must be completed with a grade of C (C=2.0) or better. Submission of a portfolio and a minimum 2.5 final cumulative Community College of Philadelphia grade point average (GPA) must be earned to gain admission to this program.

Completion of the A.A. in Art and Design at Community College of Philadelphia will allow the student to achieve the equivalent of third-year junior standing at the Moore College of Art and Design. The maximum number of semester hours that can transfer to MCAD is 76 if the curriculum matches. Students are required to complete a maximum of 126 credits at the Moore College of Art and Design.
