The guides show how the requirements for the appropriate Community College of Philadelphia associate degree transfer to the bachelor's institution. It is, however, possible for program requirements at Community College of Philadelphia or the transfer institution to change without advanced notice.

General Information:
This transfer guide is developed in support of the dual admissions agreement between Community College of Philadelphia and Chestnut Hill College. It shows how the Associate in Arts (A.A.) in International Studies at Community College of Philadelphia transfers to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Affairs at Chestnut Hill College and then shows remaining requirements at Chestnut Hill College. Completion of the A.A. in International Studies as described in this guide leads to junior standing in the B.A. in International Affairs at Chestnut Hill College.
Note: Community College of Philadelphia’s A.A. in International Studies requires one year of world language study. Students may do so at the elementary or intermediate level. It is recommended that students study a world language through the intermediate level.
Chestnut Hill College is a Dual Admissions partner and the A.A. in International Studies degree qualifies for the Chestnut Hill College Dual Admissions Agreement. A grade of “C” or higher is needed for courses to transfer. Completion of the A.A. in International Studies leads to junior standing in the B.A. in International Affairs at Chestnut Hill College.
Students who earn the A.A. in International Studies qualify for benefits of core-to-core at Chestnut Hill College. Through this, Chestnut Hill College agrees to accept the General Education embedded in Community College of Philadelphia’s Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.) and approved Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees as meeting all the requirements of its undergraduate General Education requirements except for nine credits (six in religious studies and three in a global seminar).
Students may complete the required two religious studies courses at Community College of Philadelphia, one of these courses should be RS 151/PHIL 151, World Religions. The Global Seminar course must be taken at Chestnut Hill College. Core-to-core transfer does not alter the requirements of the student's major field of study.
