Program Description
It has become evident that many faculty, staff, and students at the College are unaware that the College supports, CCPTV, has an Emmy® award winning cable channel (Comcast 53, FIOS 21, ROKU, Apple TV). CCPTV provides 24/7 programming, 90% of which is produced right here at the College. Many of the programs, hosted by CCP faculty and staff include topics that may well be useful to faculty, in the classroom. Some of the programs, Car Corner and The Chefs Cook, are hands on demonstrations while others deal with such topics as the African American Diaspora (The Market) film criticism (Cinema Bytes), addiction and recovery (Tapestry of Life), the Latinx community (Entre Nosotros), among others. Some programs give expression to our students and their experience living in the city (Drop the Mic and Focal Point).

This seminar will discuss how the available programs and involvement in creating a show can be used with students and colleagues to enhance any educational experience.
