Vaccination Update

Due to City of Philadelphia mandates, all students, faculty and staff must be fully vaccinated. To register for in-person or hybrid classes, students need to be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. Students who are not vaccinated or do not have an approved exemption are able to register for fully online courses. Please see our College COVID-19 Updates for more information and visit our Virtual Student Resource Center for support.

Updated Information for the Feb. 15 Campus Return

As the College approaches a new phase of the spring 2022 semester, I wanted to provide information and updates that will answer questions and offer guidance as we continue to navigate the pandemic. As we approach two years since the start of COVID-19, I want to thank all of you for your determination, flexibility and dedication during this difficult time.

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 15, courses will be offered in their original format (hybrid or in person). Please use this guide  to determine if classes will resume in person or remain online. Staff and calendar-year faculty will return to campus while maintaining their fall semester 2021 hybrid schedules, unless otherwise directed by their supervisor.

The following details and procedures outline our efforts in making the College a safe environment for all.

Masking Requirement

Masking will be required throughout the spring 2022 semester. Wearing a high-quality mask such as KN95 or N95 mask, or double masking, is strongly encouraged. A limited number of KN95 masks will be available. It is important to wear a mask that is well-fitted. For information on proper masking, including how to double mask, read this guidance from the CDC.

COVID-19 Testing Procedures

In effect Feb. 15, vaccinated faculty, staff and students will no longer need to be tested to access campus. Unvaccinated faculty, staff and students with approved exemptions will continue to be tested on campus for COVID-19 every three days. Visitors will continue to need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test that is no more than three days old to access campus. Visitors may get tested on campus during the testing site’s operating hours. Voluntary testing is also available for faculty, staff and students. Get more information and see testing hours for each campus.

All contractors and vendors and their employees coming to campus will be required to be vaccinated or have a valid exemption and submit to regular COVID testing in order to access campus. Contractors and vendors are expected to confirm vaccination or exemption status and arrange testing for their own employees.

COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine Protocols

The College is revising isolation and quarantine policies to align with current CDC and PDPH recommendations.

COVID-19 Booster Shots

Booster shots are strongly encouraged, but not mandated. The College will be hosting a booster clinic at the Main Campus on April 27. Further details are forthcoming.

Events at the College

Virtual events are highly encouraged; however, in-person events are suggested to be held at 50 percent capacity. Please contact Erica Harrison, director of Special Events and Community Relations, about your event. Her office will coordinate efforts to reduce overlapping event schedules, and ensure indoor and outdoor spaces are properly reserved.

Use of the Athletics Center

The Athletics Center will be closed for repairs until further notice. When the facility reopens, masking will be required, and individuals will be expected to clean equipment before and after using with wipes provided in the facilities.

Parking

Parking will be free for the spring 2022 semester.

Faculty and staff who were monthly parkers prior to COVID-19 can expect an email confirming their designated parking location, either in the Bonnell Lot or CBI Garage.

For faculty and staff who are not monthly parkers, and for all students, parking will be available in the Main Garage on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A CCP ID will be required to enter and exit all parking locations. See our parking FAQs. Please direct any questions to parking@ccp.edu.
