Message to Students with Hybrid or On-campus Classes

Note: This is an update from Sept. 29, 2021, please refer to the Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Policy or the COVID-19 Updates page for the latest information.

Courses that require on-campus attendance will begin to meet in person beginning the week of Oct. 18, 2021.
You will need to become fully vaccinated by Oct. 15 or obtain an exemption by that date. If you do not, you will not be able to gain access to campus starting Oct. 18.
Being vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself and your community. If you’re interested in being vaccinated, you’ll need to get your second Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or your first and only Johnson & Johnson shot, by this Friday, Oct. 1. (It takes two weeks for your second Moderna/Pfizer shot and for your first and only Johnson & Johnson shot to become fully effective.)
If you do not intend on being fully vaccinated, or obtaining an exemption, by Oct. 15, reach out to your instructor for next steps. You may need to drop any courses that include on-campus classes or risk failing them.
To upload you card, please take a clear photo of it and upload it to today. You can take a photo of your card and upload it using your mobile phone. To access a medical or religious exemption form, click here.
If you haven’t been vaccinated at all yet, you can use this VaccineFinder from the CDC to locate a Johnson & Johnson vaccination site near you. (You can also look for Moderna and Pfizer vaccines by filtering the search.) Vybe Urgent Care at 1500 Spring Garden St., two blocks from Main Campus, also has free vaccines available. You can also use the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s vaccine resource page to find a vaccine near you. As a reminder, all vaccination shots are free.
Want an extra incentive? If you become fully vaccinated between Aug. 19, 2021 and Oct. 1, 2021, and upload your card by Oct. 1, you’ll be eligible for a $250 Bookstore credit.
We want to ensure you continue to receive a quality education with us. Thank you for doing everything you can to protect the Pride. For more information, visit the College’s COVID-19 Updates page.
