Vaccinations and Testing

Due to City of Philadelphia mandates, anyone who comes to the College who is not fully vaccinated will be tested before they will be permitted on campus. Masks are required. Starting Oct. 15, all faculty, staff and students must be fully vaccinated. Please see our College COVID-19 Updates for more information.

Adjustments to Fall 2021 Courses

Hybrid and In-person Classes Will Be Online Until Oct. 18

As you know, the City of Philadelphia has recently made changes regarding mandating vaccines for higher education. As the City has made changes, we must also change our plans. We realize that right now is a time of some adjustment and we appreciate your flexibility and patience as we address new circumstances. We are all aware that the health and safety of the College community should be our first priority.

All courses that have been scheduled to be online will take place online per the semester’s schedule and will not be affected. These adjustments concern in-person and hybrid classes for 15A, 10A, 10B, and 7A terms.

Community College of Philadelphia will adjust the majority of in-person, on-campus classes by moving all or part of these classes online until Oct. 17. In-person classes will resume on Oct. 18 for 15A and 10A terms. Classes adjusted in the 7A term will remain online for the entire term.

Courses without a Lab or Studio Component

If a course was scheduled to be in-person or hybrid to meet on campus and does NOT have a lab or studio component, it will be taught remotely until Oct. 17 and will return to in-person beginning Oct. 18. These courses will keep the same in-person meeting days and times but will be online as the course was originally scheduled. The course will be adjusted so that it can be taught remotely until Oct. 17 and will be offered through Canvas and/or Zoom. These courses will appear under “Future Enrollments” in your Canvas Courses Tab.

Courses with a Lab or Studio Component

If a course does have a lab or studio component, course meetings for lectures will be conducted remotely until Oct. 15, while meetings that require hands-on work (such as labs) will be conducted in-person. These courses will also appear under “Future Enrollments” in your Canvas Courses Tab.

The following courses will continue to have in-person meetings on campus. Please review this list. If your course is not on the list, that means it will be 100 percent online until Oct. 17. Contact information to get more details about in-person courses is also provided online.
