Message from the Provost

Alycia Marshall headshotWelcome to the spring semester!  I hope this message finds you all in good health, rested and rejuvenated to welcome our students back for what I anticipate will be an exciting and productive spring semester.  As your Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Success, I look forward to working collaboratively with all of you this semester to ensure the success of our collective students.

As you prepare for the spring semester, important information is available in this easy access website for the Academic and Student Success Division. Topics include grades, exams and technology training; links to documents such as the Student Handbook, Enrollment Guide and Student Resource Center that provide information about in-person and virtual services and office hours; as well as information regarding Starfish Connect, our academic early alert system. Please note that the website also contains information pertaining to the College’s continued work on Guided Pathways. Please review this site throughout the semester, as we will update regularly with additional information.

We look forward to seeing all of you at our spring divisional meeting on Thursday, January 11th, at 2 p.m. in C2-28 where we will be sharing updates regarding the divisional plan and our work moving forward in support of student success.  Although there will be a hybrid option, we encourage you to attend in person to allow an opportunity to fellowship with your colleagues.

The contributions of all faculty, staff, and administrators are integral to the work we do at the College and the continued success of our students. I look forward to an amazing semester for all as we continue our focus on access, equity and student success.

Thanks for all you do.

Dr. Alycia Marshall
Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Success
