Nilufer

I came to CCP [Community College of Philadelphia] in the spring of 2014 after I received my GED. I am an immigrant student so I was very happy to find CCP. I am originally from Bangladesh. When I enrolled in CCP, I tried to find a tutor and go to the Learning Labs to help with my assignments especially since I am an ESL student.

Right now, I am taking Phlebotomy courses. So, I will work in outpatient or inpatient laboratories. I have no complaints about CCP; I am very satisfied. I see CCP as a second home. I see studying as my oxygen. Without studying, I cannot survive. My plan is to take a one-year gap after this semester. Since I am married and have three kids, I just need a quick break, and then I will get back to studying in school. Studying is the key—education is the key and is the backbone!

Editor’s Note: Nilufer graduated from the College Fall of 2018, but is finishing up her last courses during the 2019 Spring semester.
