"Teaching Up" through Differentiated Instruction

Massah Nuni (English, FCTL Fellowship Recipient)

We know students have different learning styles and needs; how can we modulate our instruction in response? Differentiated Instruction encourages instructors to diversify their content, implementation, student assessments/work products, and classroom environment. Community members will review the learning needs of diverse populations of students, explore the characteristics of a student-centered, pedagogically “differentiated” classroom.
