The College has recently offered a number of accelerated and intensive courses and programs to motivate learners and increase retention. Instructors, therefore, need continuing professional development to discover what works and what doesn't work. In their 2010 book, Teaching Intensive and Accelerated Courses: Instruction that Motivates Learning, authors Raymond J. Wlodkowski and Margery B. Ginsberg provide a framework with motivational strategies and culturally responsive instructional methods relevant to nontraditional working adults.
