Organizing Training
Dear Faculty and Staff:
This summer, our organizing team talked to hundreds of members about the issues that matter to them in our contract fight, and planned the informational picket on the opening day of Professional Development week where members showed up to let the administration know that we do not want the so-called Best and Final Offer, and are ready to fight for the future of the College.
This semester, as we escalate our fight for fair contracts, we invite any interested faculty or staff to join our organizing team. There are three upcoming meetings this month and we hope to see you there! Now is the time to get involved.
These meetings will be held in the FCTL, M1-17. We need all hands on deck this semester, so we encourage you to find a way to plug in. If you plan on coming, or would like to get involved but can't attend a meeting, please let us know by RSVPing here.
Each meeting will include a training about how to have an organizing conversation, updates about what we are learning through our conversations with members, and a discussion of where we are in our plan to escalate our campaign.
