English Language Learners (ELL) Student Services

A new English Language Learners (ELL) Student Services has been created in the Division of Educational Support Services division.

ELL Student Services helps English Language Learners have the best student experience at Community College of Philadelphia and increase their retention. ELLs are current and former students in the ESL program. When ELLs need assistance, we connect them to appropriate resources both inside and outside of CCP. These supports include tutoring, financial aid, health care, legal and immigration questions, children's resources, food, housing and much more.

For more information, please visit the ELL Student Services webpage, https://myccp.online/division-educational-support-services/english-language-learners-student-services

Digital Course Materials

Community College of Philadelphia and Follett Higher Education Group have partnered to offer what we call “Digital Course Materials” courses, which use digital materials instead of physical textbooks. Students pay a discounted e-book rate, and the materials will be available in Canvas by the first day of class. This reduces overall costs for students, who receive the lowest price available for the course materials.

Visit the following link for more specific information: Digital Course Materials.

Early 2024-2025 FAFSA Submission Date

Students will be able to file a 2024-2025 FAFSA as early as October 1, 2023.  Since the 2024-2025 FAFSA will be based on 2022 income information instead of the 2023 income information, most tax filers will be able to use the IRS Data Retrieval toll available on the FAFSA application.  The 2024-2025 FAFSA application is used for students planning to attend the Fall 2024, Spring 2024 and/or Summer 2025 semesters.
Note: Students planning to attend Summer 2024 must file a 2022-2023 FAFSA using the 2021 income information.

Pell Grant

The Pell grant for students attending more than one term within a semester (15A, 10A, 7A, 7B, etc.) will be reduced if they drop a class or classes that were included in an earlier disbursement.  These adjustments may affect the student’s current and future financial aid eligibility.  Please contact the Financial Aid Office with any specific questions.

New/Continuing Guest/Visiting students must log into MyCCP and access the Electronic Forms Channel (Admissions Forms) for completing the online Guest/Visiting Student form. For more information, access http://www.ccp.edu/getting-started/what-kind-student-are-you/guest-students .
